8-25-11 Fishing report

The Flathead River is now in its August paterns with ants, hoppers and beetles working well. Fish in a little deeper waters for larger fish. They are getting smarter now so make sure you don't have any drag on the fly.

Flathead River Fly Fishing

August 14 the Flathead river has been fishing real well ever since it has cleared up in July. Cutthroat Trout and Rainbow and occasional Lake Trout on dry flies. We have been fishing orange and red Humpys just started getting fish on Hoppers and if nothing is hatching we are using a large attractor like a Chernobyl Ant. The hatches have been Yellow Sally's, PMD's and a few Caddis.
