Flathead River in October
Flathead River is still fishing well as you can see with this very nice measured 19" Cutthroat caught by 10 year old Jack from Colorado on a Prince Nymph, his dad Greg is holding it for him. Our weather has been holding nicely for us with 50 to 60 degree days and as long as that goes on fishing will be great.

Fall Fishing is here
A double one Rainbow one Cutthroat
good job Mike and Susan
Fall patterns are what we are now using like Hoppers and Black Ants, also try Nymphs and Eggs under a strike indicator. The fishing has been very good with lots of 14 to 16 inch fish and a few larger ones. As the whitefish move up river so will the larger fish following to eat the eggs.

Dry Fly Action
Still doing well on dry flies on the Flathead River and should till we get a frost.
Go with either large attractors (Chernobyl's) or small dries like an Adams or Humpy's.

Yeasterday I was up on Cedar lake and did pretty well on the Rainbow Trout up to 15 inches.

May 7 Fishing Report
The spring fishing is great fight now on Lake Rogers for Grayling and a few Cutthroat on the fly rod with nymphs and once in a while in a hatch on dries. Fly fishing for Northern Pike has been very active lately with lots of small ones and a few nice ones on Smith Lake and the river sloughs. I caught a 27 lb. Lake Trout on last Friday the 4th of May but put in lots of time for two bites but it was worth it. Come fish now it is time.

Spring Fishing
Spring fishing is here in the Flathead with high muddy water in the rivers. We are fishing lakes like Flathead for Lake Trout in shallow water. I landed a 14.3 lb one in 6 feet of water on Friday was fun along with the other 14 fish I caught. Lake Rogers is picking up and I will report on that next week. I have been catching a few small Northern Pike on the fly rod and hoping the larger ones should be in spawning any day.

Catching up on the winter
I've been having problems with my fishing report so I will catch up a little now and stay caught up form here on. January, Febuary was Ice fishing catching Grayling, Cutthroat, Northern Pike and Salmon. The first part of March I went to Idaho for Steelhead and we hit it just right timing is everything with that. Lately we have been fishing Flathead Lake for Lake Trout been getting a few nice ones, photos show the proof.
