2018 Fishing Season

Good Stewards!

Besides being an outstanding outfitter and guide, Russ is a good steward of God's creation! He and Maureen Hathaway did their third annual clean up of the section of Flathead River where Russ is licensed to guide. It was a long day, but they pulled lots of garbage out of the river and off the river banks, including this tractor wheel.

Recent Lake Fishing

The fishing has been great! While Salmon fishing on Bitterroot Lake the biggest recently weighed 3 pounds. On the Flathead River we caught lots of nice Cutthroat Trout and Rainbows.

On Flathead Lake we've caught some nice Lake Trout in the 6 to 9 pound range and a few small ones, also. The two photos show a client’s smile holding her first Lake Trout and then her surprise upon dropping her first Lake Trout.

First Trips of 2017

I took my first two trips of 2017 out this weekend! On Friday, we were on Flathead River. We caught some real nice Cutthroat Trout using nymphs. Saturday saw us on Flathead Lake catching a nice 18-pound Lake Trout.
